Bob Simmons  You who are spiritual. . . In the book of Galatians, Paul gave an assignment to those in the church who were spiritual. Who is he talking about? Who? Me? This class will take a look at the book to try to find out.

 

RUTH                                                                                             LIBRARY

Young Professional Women - Jan Meek  This study will examine the book of Ruth, verse by verse. This 8th book of the Old Testament will help us understand love, commitment and the providence of God.

 

PRAYING GOD’S WORD                                                               EB107

Young Mothers will be using Beth Moore's book, Praying God's Word as a discussion guide. This is a study focused on defeating strongholds in our lives by combining the two most powerful weapons God gives us for spiritual warfare - scripture and prayer.

 

THE HOLY SPIRIT                                                                              EB108

Scott Cranford will lead a study of the work and manifestation of the Holy Spirit in Bible times and in our own day.

                  

ESTER: It’s Tough Being a Woman                                              EB112/113

Ladies Class - Tammy Williams  Penned approximately 400 years B.C., Ester’s story is very relevant and applicable to us today. All ladies are invited to join us as we glean treasures from God’s Word with the help of Beth Moore’s workbook.  This will be a discussion format.

Men’s Class - Mike Hayes Asking yourself questions is good when you ask the right question and look for an answer in the proper place.  This quarter the men will ask, answer and evaluate these questions in light of what scripture tells us.

This is a chapter by chapter study of the prophet's words toJudah.  As we study we will look at the relevance of these words today.

Students will break up into groups for a guided discussion of spiritual topics allowing them to share thoughts and concerns of relevant topics.

JOSHUA, JUDGES and RUTH                                                AUDITORIUM                                                                                

Mike Norwood -  Joshua, Judges and Ruth are not simply the first 3 books of History in the Old  Testament. They offer insight into how God wants to be actively involved with His people today. This study will look at the delivery ofIsrael from slavery inEgypt to their desire to return to their form of slavery – being under the rule of kings rather than the more free relationship with God through the priesthood, prophets and judges.

 

SEEKING THE SON                                                                       BASEMENT

Andy Baker -  This class will examine various people who encountered Jesus, the situation they found themselves in and what transpired as they looked into the eyes of the Savior and what it all means to us today.

 

GOD HATH SPOKEN                                                                        LIBRARY

Jackie Hill and Jan Meek - This class will be studying topics which God has spoken about such as Origins and Beginnings, Blessings and Curses, Things Old and Things New, Truth and Error as well as Giving and Receiving.

 

OLD TESTAMENT CHARACTERS                                                   EB107

Young Professionals - Various teachers will present character studies of Old Testament characters.

 

HAGGAI, ZECHARIAH and MALACHI                                             EB108                                                                      

Scott Cranford  - This class will examine the last three books of the Old Testament that tell what was going on after seventy years of captivity.  This is God’s last words to His people for 400 years, until the coming of the Messiah.

 

A SPIRITUAL MARRIAGE                                                              EB 112/113

Young Families - The elders rotate as leaders of this class— What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy? Your marriage is more than a sacred covenant with another person. It is a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God better, trust Him more fully and love Him more deeply.

Jeremy Stewart   God created everything, Adam and Eve sinned, a bunch of strange stuff happened, and then Jesus came.” Sometimes we have the tendency to overlook the Old Testament because it can be hard to understand. In this class we’ll be surveying the Old Testament to see why each book was written and what God wants us to learn from them. Come and learn about Lamentations, Habakkuk, and the rest of the Old Testament, and see how they all fit in to the history of God’s plan.
